Stephen Akinsanya is pleased to announce he is the new Elected Chair of the British Nigeria Law Forum as of April 2015.
Below is his nomination statement:
“As a committed member of the BNLF for many years I have contributed to the organization in a non-executive capacity through my attendance at many meetings and functions hosted by the BNLF. I have been nominated to host at least two BNLF Gala dinners and at least one seminar hosted by our sponsors. Those experiences have exposed me to the ongoing vision of the BNLF to unite British lawyers of Nigerian background practicing here with the aim of establishing strong and meaningful links with our Nigerian counterparts. As part of a delegation in 2010 to Nigeria I saw first-hand the synergy that was possible between the lawyers from our two countries.
If I was successful, it would be my firm intention to continue the work to cement the bond between the BNLF and the Professional legal bodies in Nigeria by identifying our common strengths and addressing our weaknesses for the greater good of promoting Nigerian lawyers in the legal fraternity globally.”
The British Nigeria Law Forum is a vibrant professional organisation made up of practising lawyers and students. We provide business, networking and educational opportunities for our members and friends in the UK and Nigeria. Established in 2001, the group has a long and successful track record of staging major professional and social events designed to develop and support the careers of our members.
